Australian Outback Spectacular, Gold Coast Overview
Australian Outback Spectacular is a bush-themed dinner-and-show arena in Oxenford where stockmen, horses and cattle perform alongside pyrotechnics and a three-course meal, currently marking its 20th year. Seating is tiered around a sand arena and the show runs in the evening, so it fits after a day at the nearby parks rather than instead of one. Sister attraction Paradise Country, a wildlife and farm park, sits about a kilometre away on Production Drive.
Operated by Village Roadshow Theme Parks, these two Gold Coast attractions are frequently bundled together and with the group's larger parks. Australian Outback Spectacular runs an evening arena show ("Heartland") built around stockmanship, horse stunts and special effects, served with a three-course dinner and optional lounge or premium seating upgrades. Paradise Country operates by day as a wildlife and farm park, zoo-accredited for animal welfare, offering koala and marmoset encounters, a Stock Horse Arena show, tractor rides, gold panning and a Farmhouse Restaurant. Neither functions as a major standalone drawcard; both are positioned commercially as companion experiences for visitors already in Oxenford for Movie World, Sea World or Wet'n'Wild, sold via single tickets, multi-park passes or OTA combo deals.
