History of the Amabaji Temple

The historic and religion site of Danta Ambaji lies in Gujarat's Banaskantha region. The town houses several ancient Hindu and Jain temples.

Besides, it also sites one of the prominent Shakti Peetas in the country, the Ambaji Temple. Dedicated to Goddess Ambe, also known as Mata Ambe, the Ambaji Temple is said to have been revered since the pre-Vedic era.

Although the state does not have an airport of its own, Ambaji is still accessible with the nearest Sardar Vallabhbhai International Airport.
