Deoban, Chakrata Overview
At 2200 m high, Deoban offers expansive views of the Himalayan ranges and is surrounded by dense deodar forests. Home to wide varieties of Himalayan Woodpeckers, white collared blackbirds and Green Backed tit, these forests attract great number of bird watchers.
A 15 minutes walk from these forets will take you to Vyasa Shikhar where Vyasa wrote Mahabharata and if the weather is clear you can view a series of Himalayan ranges and peaks from there.
