Budher Caves, Chakrata Overview

At a distance of about 30 km from Chakrata, lies the Budher caves, also known as Miola caves. The name Miola is after the German person who discovered this cave and this cave is now a popular spot for spelunking or exploring caves.

The cave is believed to be dug by Pandavas during their "Vanvaas" or exile before the Mahabharata War was fought. The cave is around 150m long and is a brilliant spot for adrenalin junkies who are looking for some caving opportunities. The caves are mostly formed out of limestone rocks with brilliant stalagmite and stalactite formations.
