La Orotava Valley, Canary Islands Overview

La Orotava Valley offers some of the most picturesque landscapes, black volcanic soil, deep blue ocean, and green palm groves. Also known as the Taoro Valley, this valley lies as a depression on the northern side of Tenerife island, with Mount Teide at its back and the ocean at its feet.

With an annual average temperature of 20 degrees Celsius, this place is a surfer’s paradise and its rich marine neighbourhood offers some amazing diving experiences to its visitors. It comprises three major towns namely El Bollullo, La Fajana, and La Grimona.

3. While planning your hiking trip, do visit the streets that brim with 16th, 17th and 18th-century architecture and the Mirador del Humboldt viewpoint which offers a panoramic view of the entire valley from above.
