Budapest Zoo & Botanical Garden, Budapest Overview

The Budapest Zoo & Botanical Garden, Hungary's oldest zoo park, is home to over 9000 animals of 850 species in Budapest City Park. It is ideal for exploring the city's natural reserve and fauna habitats. An art nouveau building in the zoo represents the art and architecture of the city.

The zoo opened 150 years ago. The Budapest Zoo & Botanical Garden features seven major exhibits: the magical hill, America Tropicana, Savannah Zone, Australia Zone, India Zone, Janos Xantus House, and Primates. The zoo is home to many animals like white rhinoceros, gazelles, exotic birds, reptiles, amphibians, Asiatic lions, striped hyenas, orangutans, baboons, and a variety of other species that can be spotted while strolling through the park. Children can also participate in a children's program at the attraction, allowing them to feed animals and enjoy the enclosure's sights.
