The Magritte Museum in Central Brussels is one of the three Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium.Located in the Place Royale in central Brussels it is dedicated to the life and works of René Magritte, Belgium's most renowned surrealist artist. It houses the largest collection of his masterpieces. Visitors with online tickets can enter from Place Royale 2. To buy ticket go to the ticket desk at the main entrance (Rue de la Régence 3).
Split into two; the Museum focuses on abstract art in one half and surrealism in the other half. The Museum speaks of his work through a panel of illustrations of his impeccable drawings, sculptures, and other art pieces. Opened to the public in 2009, The Magritte Museum displays over 200 original Magritte paintings and sculptures. The Museum also comprises Rene’s photography experiments and short films from 1956. The visit also comes with an audio guide, helping you understand Rene’s story better.
