Also known as "The Lights", Blackpool illumination is a light festival that runs every year for 66 days. It takes place from early September to November.
The Blackpool Illuminations are a major attraction in the town and boasts about its hypnotising illuminations that run through the main road of the town. It is an ideal activity for people of any age as well as any budget. It will be held from early September to early November and this is the time when the city is seen buzzing with fun and frolic all around. Every year, there happens a switch on concert, where a celebrity inaugurates the festival by switching on the lights. It consists of all kinds of displays like lasers, light bulbs, neons, fibre optics and floodlighting.
