Popularly known as "Broken Beach", Pasih Uug is a scenic coastal attraction located on the southwestern tip of Nusa Penida island. It features an arch-like rocky formation over the waters, and provides a stunning view for nature-lovers and photographers. An unpaved and bumpy road leads to the area, and there are a a couple of vendors selling beer and other refreshments.
One of the most famous spots in Nusa Penida, Pasih Uug beach is located near the Angel's Beach. The seawater rushing through the archway in the cliff gives a picturesque view and tranquillity. One of the exceptional examples of the ways in which earth has eroded over many years to form a marvellous natural structure. The ride towards the cliff is quite bumpy but the spot is totally worth it and is an ideal location for amazing photography.
The beautiful blue water and the foams created in the waves near the feet of the cliff make an absolutely divine view. It has a big natural pool formed by the seawater entering through the arch-shaped cut in the cliff, however, it is too high to take a dip. Local vendors sell beer and refreshments which can be enjoyed at the top of the cliff while seeing the lovely views.
Broken Beach is located in the village of Bunga Mekar, on the southwestern coast of Nusa Penida Island in Bali. Though it is present in a remote area, the exceptional view drives people here from places far away. There are speed boat and cruise services available from Sanur, Kusamba, Nusa Lembongan or Ceningan and Padang Bai to Nusa Penida.
The broken beach is present on the Nusa Penida Island which itself is a heaven for nature lovers. Kelingking Viewpoint, Crystal Bay, Manta Ray viewpoint and Angel's Billabong along with the above mentioned broken beach, are the best viewpoints in Nusa Penida. Kelingking beach has an interesting cliff formation which resembles the shape of a T-Rex’s head and thus is also called T-Rex bay of Nusa Penida.
