Vijay Mandir palace, Alwar Overview
Situated at a distance of 10 kilometres from the centre of the city of Alwar, Vijay Mandir Palace is said to have been built as a result of the whims of the eccentric King, Maharaja Jai Singh who was a patron of art and architecture and had a passion for beautiful palaces. Placed in the midst of the luxuriant gardens by the lake, the palace comprises of 105 rooms that are well ornamented. Sita Ram Temple that is thronged every year by the devotees during Ramnavami is another major attraction of the palace. Some parts of the palace are in ruins.
