How to reach Santorini

The main airport - Santorini International Airport (JTR) - is just 5 km from the capital of Santorini - Fira. The easiest way to get to the island is by flying directly to Santorini. There are multiple direct flights from major cities in Europe and other Greek islands like Crete and Mykonos. It takes about 45 minutes to 2 hours to reach, depending on the origin.
For visitors coming from other parts of the world, you will probably have a connecting flight through another city.
Visitors can also reach Santorini by ferry. Daily ferries by Blue Star Ferries, Hellenic Seaways, and SeaJets offer connections from the port of Piraeus in Athens and from other Greek islands such as Paros and Naxos.
