Day 1 Jammu, Katra:The state of Jammu and Kashmir Welcomes You

Begin your religious Jammu and Kashmir holiday with a visit to Katra.

The Jammu and Kashmir tour itinerary begins with pickup from the Jammu-Tawi Railway Station. The agent’s representative will receive and escort you to Katra. You will be directly taken to the hotel in Katra for check-in, dinner, and overnight stay.

Distance from Jammu To Katra: 55 km

Travel Time: 1 hour 15 minutes

Get ready for the holy pilgrimage to the temple of Mata Vaishno Devi - the highlight of this Jammu Kashmir tour.

After an early breakfast at the Katra Hotel, you will be transferred to Banganga. The journey to the temple of Mata Vaishno Devi must be covered on your own. You can cover the 12 km pilgrimage on foot or take a pony to the top of the cave.

Later, you will be picked up from Banganga and transferred back to the Katra Hotel in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

It is time to head to Kashmir for the remaining part of your Jammu and Kashmir tour.

The third day of your Jammu and Kashmir package begins with breakfast and check-out from the hotel in Katra. You will be transferred to Srinagar. Lunch can be taken on the way at a local restaurant.

You will directly be taken to the jetty around Dal Lake where the Shikaras are docked. After check-in, you will be taken for a shikara ride to the Nehru Park. Dinner and overnight is offered in the houseboat itself.

Distance from Katra to Dal Lake: 275 km

Travel Time: 6 hours 30 minutes

Move on to Gulmarg and indulge in some fun-filled leisure activities and sightseeing tours.

Post breakfast, check-out from the houseboat in Dal Lake and proceed to Gulmarg. Check-in at the hotel, and enjoy rest of the day as leisure day. You can use the day to visit tourist attractions like Maharani Temple, Ziarat of Baba Reshi and Children’s Park.

After an exciting day in the Meadow of Flowers, you will be transferred back to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Distance from Dal Lake to Gulmarg: 56 km

Travel Time: 1 hour 30 minutes

Optional: You can indulge in light activities such as golf at the world’s highest golf course, nature walks, bird watching, and pony rides. But the Gondola Cable Car Ride to Khilanmarg is the most popular thing to be included in all tour packages for Kashmir.

Tip: The list of tourist attractions is long, and there is less time at hand. So choose well the activities that you feel are best suited for you. But we suggest not to miss the Cable Ride.

Indulge in the numerous leisure activities offered in the Pahalgam valley.

The next day of the Jammu and Kashmir tour package will begin with breakfast and check-out from the hotel in Gulmarg. After this, you will be transferred to Pahalgam. En route, you can see the beautiful saffron fields.

Have lunch at a local restaurant and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. After a fun-filled day, you will be taken to the hotel in Pahalgam for check-in, dinner, and overnight stay.

Distance from Gulmarg to Pahalgam: 138 km

Travel Time: 2 hours 45 minutes

Optional: You can visit the Anantnag Sulpher Springs enr oute. The Amusement Park by the Lidder River, white river rafting in the Aru Valley, and pony rides to Baisaran, Betaab Valley, and Chandanwari are other optional tours that can be taken up in Pahalgam.

Spend your next day exploring the numerous city attractions of Srinagar.

The Kashmir tour package will take you back to Srinagar after a filling breakfast at the Pahalgam hotel. Directly take the excursion to the Shankaracharya Hill Temple before heading for check-in at the Srinagar Hotel.

In the evening, you will be taken for the Grand Mughal Gardens’ tour. The tour includes Chashme Shahi, Nishat Bagh, and Shalimar Bagh. Return to the hotel at night for dinner and overnight stay.

Distance from Pahalgam to Srinagar: 90 km

Travel Time: 2 hours

Head for the road trip to Jammu, where you can catch your train for the onward journey.

The Jammu and Kashmir tour package finally ends on day 7 of the Kashmir itinerary. After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Jammu railway station for departure.

You can have lunch en route at a local restaurant before being dropped off at the railway station. This concludes your holiday in the lovely state of Jammu and Kashmir.

What's Good: ## Bhutan Experience Our journey through Bhutan was largely impressive, with knowledgeable guides who showcased the country's rich cultural heritage and stunning landscapes with g (Read More)enuine enthusiasm. The drivers navigated the winding mountain roads with skill and professionalism, ensuring our comfort throughout most of the journey. However, our second night at Paro Rema Resort fell short of expectations in terms of dining. The food quality was disappointing compared to other meals we enjoyed in Bhutan, lacking both flavor and presentation that would be expected at a resort of this caliber. ## Sikkim Portion The transition between destinations proved problematic. Our transfer from Bhutan to Gangtok felt unnecessarily rushed, with a driver who seemed more concerned with completing the journey quickly than ensuring passenger comfort or allowing us to appreciate the scenic route. Upon arrival in Gangtok, we were pleased with our hotel's prime location on MG Road, offering convenient access to local attractions, shopping, and dining options. Unfortunately, the hotel's service standards did not match its excellent location. Staff responsiveness was inconsistent, and several basic amenities were either missing or required multiple requests. Overall, while the Bhutan portion of our tour delivered a memorable experience, the Sikkim segment would benefit from significant improvements to transportation and accommodation service quality.

What's Good: Our trip to Bhutan was unexpected and was very last minutes plan, however our agent Reshma from Yolmo holiday successfully made it worth of money and time both… our guide Sonam De (Read More)na and driver Thupten were both the best I could ever tell, they are very kind and were very adjustable when we changed our itinerary the last minute. We are so satisfied with our trip and will definitely recommend them to our friends and family circle.
