Very good

The room was small but comfortable. Although I didn't use it, it was fitted with a mini-kitchen. I think it was worth spending the extra 8.50 for breakfast. There wasn't a great selection of things to eat but if you don't mind mortadella and cheese and a croissant rather than cereals and/or a cooked English breakfast + toast, it was quite substantial. The location is convenient, the hotel being not far from Bayswater Underground station (for District and Circle lines) and Queensway Underground station (for Central Line). The hotel was quite attractively decorated with antique pictures and prints.

There's no lift so if you have a heavy suitcase, you might find getting up to your room hard work especially if you're on the third or fourth floor. During the night there was some noise from the sash window as it banged a little in the wind.

Great stay on NYE!

It was near Bayswater train station, staff was helpful and welcoming, my room was nice and tidy. It was worth the price and I definitely recommend Vancouver Studios!

You need to walk up the stairs to get to some of the rooms. I don't recommend bringing lots of luggage if you're staying on the top floor. The place itself is very cosy and it's worth the money. I did not have any issues with the luggage as I was only carrying a backpack, but it's worth it to let people know about the set of stairs.

It was near a train station

First, the property did not have a lift. It was ridiculous that we had to manually haul 30kg baggage up 5 or more flights of steep staircases.That is unacceptable in a so called four star hotel rating. There was no prior notice or message regarding NO LIFTS when we booked. We would have packed lighter. Second, the room is filthy- the only word to describe it. The inside of the cups were BLACK, the room dusty, the table had food pieces and spillage on it when we first entered. No universal charging port. Third, the place was extremely unprofessional, we were required to return our keys to the front desk anytime we were leaving the premises within our stay; and then pick up our keys from front desk when we returned. So we could not take our own hotel keys outside with us. We felt very unsafe knowing that the hotel could enter our rooms when we were outside. There was no safe in the rooms. Fourth, they turned off our heater in the middle of London Winter. When we first checked in our heater was working, but when we returned back to our room after eating dinner, we found the hydronic heater switch had been turned off. Fifth, the staff are hostile and not happy to help. Not only is this hotel unprofessional, they also have a poor attitude, especially the female staff in the front desk. There are plenty of hotels near the area, avoid this place at all cost. Worst accomodation I have ever stayed at.

Great location, clean and tidy

Staff were helpful, rooms were clean and tidy, bed was comfortable. Location was good close to shops and only 10 mins to Paddington.

There were no instructions for the washing machines, the stairs are very steep. If you leave the apartment you have to hand in your key - quite inconvenient if you are popping in and out a lot as a tourist. I feel this impacted my stay as I didnt want to inconvenience the staff by going in and out too often.

Lovely, charming accomodation that has everything you could need for a stay in London. Staff are wonderful and geat location by two tube stops for easy transport everywhere. Loved it! Extremely comfy beds.

Superb

Cozy and well-equipped room

Great location and friendly staff. The room was clean and equipped with excellent facilities, including a fridge, stove, and microwavevery useful if you want to prepare your own meals.

The building doesn't have a lift, so I had to carry my luggage up the narrow staircase all the way to the third floor.
