We enjoyed the evening by the beach (including dinner at a beachside restaurant).

The location was very good with an almost 'private' beach.

The property was advertised as a '5-star'; so the expectations were of a 5-star property, which clearly wasn't the experience - e.g. the corridors to the room were piled up with house-keeping material, the rooms were not clean (e.g. used hand-towel from an earlier guest-stay was in the bathroom), the staff could not cope during the breakfast, whilst the breakfast-spread was there in variety, there was a problem with the taste (one could see a high-wastage). It would have been much better (experience vs expectation) if the property was advertised as a convenient location by the sea, and not one with a 5-star experience.

Nice place

The rooms are a bit run down. The wash basin was cracked and the room looked like it needed better care. Does not justify a 5 star rating, sorry to say. The reception did not have sufficient change for cash payments and I had to wait a while for front manager to source change from outside.

I will not consider this resort if I am ever back to Kovalam. Dishonest staff

The resort is located on the beach which is a plus point. The breakfast buffet was grand and had plentiful options for veg and non veg. Bed was comfortable and room size was great along with cleanliness.

1. Reception staff tried to scare off by telling us that this resort and including neighboring resorts are a part of an "union" where they don't allow other outside taxi/Uber or any other vehicles to pick you up for transfer to another city. They are only apparently allowed to provide their own group of taxi drivers who are a part of the union and was charging an abnormal rate of Rs. 8000 for transfer to Aleppey from Trivandrum. We felt it was a complete lie as we found out later that wasn't entirely true and other cars and come in to the resort to pick guests up. I think this is a HUGE SCAM and should be looked into by Upper Management. We found alternate vehicle transfer and did not go with the resort union taxi that they were pushing with scare tactics. 2. Table napkin at the resort restaurant by pool (not the buffet) had disgusting smell and probably wasn't washed well. 3. For the amount the resort charges per night, it is not maintained to that level. It does look nice with the lighting and the pool but food is very subpar.

Good hotel but poor management from a customer service perspective.

Great location. Enjoyed the beach and the waves from the Arabian Sea although if you are a light sleeper dont get your room close to the sea as the waves were pretty loud all night. Breakfast buffet was very good.

Generally poor management but the staff was kind and courteous. Management did not delegate work and had to ask permission for anything. This resulted in poor customer service as we were kept waiting before the staff got answers from management. Seemed like the accounting department is running the hotel and not sales and customer service people. All in all it is a 4 star property at best and not 5 star.

Not 5 star at all, have stayed in better 3 star hotels.

Close to the beach Waffles and Dosas very tasty for breakfast

Room although clean very dated, furniture worn out, bathroom basin cracked. Breakfast on first day was chaotic, staff didnt seem to know what they were doing, kept running out of cutlery. Took 3 attempts and 30 minutes to get my masala dosa, as the ordering system not working. Communal, pool areas not clean. Very dirty pond with one fish in it. Although the hotel ideally located for the beach, the access between hotel and beach is littered with rubbish and there are no steps to the actual beach just jagged rocks that you have to be very careful to climb down.
