Beautiful hotel

The hotel was lovely! The staff was superb! The location suited our needs perfectly.

The only issue we had was the smoke detector went off around 3am and didnt stop. The person who answered the phone at the front desk was new & had no idea what to do. My husband finally managed to get it to stop temporarily. We told them in the morning what happened and asked if they could change the battery while we were out. We got into bed that night and it started again! We had two staffers in our room on a chair, trying to change the battery. They were as nice as could be about the entire thing. It was just a shame that our 2 night stay in this beautiful hotel didnt allow us a solid nights sleep either night due to a malfunctioning smoke detector. They did end up comping us our parking fees to make up for it.

Shower curtain, extending the shower glass or replacing the shower curtain with a glass door would be a welcomed improvement.

Perfect hotel location for Backbay, clean and very friendly staff. Will be back

Very minimalist. Walk into the hotel and the reception is a few steps to the right and straight in front is the lift. Great location.

What an absolutely perfect hotel! From the magical decor to the impeccable, cleanliness and perfect design, it was a pleasure to stay at the Eliot. The staff was kind and gracious!

Very elegant. Really nice, professional, gracious staff. Extremely comfortable, spacious queen suite for a really reasonable price.

I wish there was more room service, especially for breakfast, but the Harvard Club was very nice
