To be honest , it was a great place to stay and most staff are excellent but communication issues made it a terrible experience. Sign !
1. It took the 5 star hotel more 10 hours to tell me that the email send by the hotel with detailed aspects of my stay to verify my credit card was a spam mail!
2. Cancelling my card after such a delay esp after office hours but a very unpleasant.
3. On checking in on 2nd dec , after explaining to the check in counter at level one about my earlier issues , I was upgraded as a form of service recovery.
4. To add injury to insult , on checking out ( counter was at a higher level ) 4th dec , I was told to pay for my upgrade !
5. The gentleman refused to double check the status of the upgrade with level one checkin counter and As my transfer was already waiting for my whole family, I left with a bad taste in my mouth

A colonial gem with outstanding facilities and service.
Everything was top notch. It is a historic property, a truly grand hotel in the old sense of the word, nestled in a beautiful setting. The facilities were of the highest standard, the staff was very attentive and the food was phenomenal.

The Metropole Hanoi is an exquisite property. Our room was large and beautifully appointed. All the public areas of the hotel were lovely, especially the bar and the more casual dining room.
The people and service were excellent, with everything taken care of easily.
Conveniently located, so you could walk to most things you may want to see.
The Spice Garden restaurant was decent but expensive. The tour of the underground bunker is skippable.

We were incredibly well looked after. The team were engaging, friendly and helpful.
Enjoyed the breakfast area; options to eat outside by the pool or inside. Good food options to meet most tastes.
Hard to think of anything but maybe a few more areas reserved for guests?

Our room had a bathroom without a door and the window of the bathroom could not be obscured. The waked me up at 6 because they were moving chairs in the floor over me

The impressive luxuary stay
The heat full hospitality of all staffs is very excellent. The outdoor pool is exclusive and made me relaxed.
The facilities such as toilet, shower are old and not convenient.
