Below average hotel, does not meet expectations

The view is excellent. It's right on the bikini beach. We stayed in the Sea Facing Room, 1204. Transfer to and from the airport were seamless. Walking distance from the harbour too.

Our overall stay at Kaani Palm wasn't that great. The first room they provided, Room no 1104 did not get hot water. Had to make several calls and walks to the reception to follow up. Eventiay they then moved us to 1204. There was a Mandatory 90$ per person New Year dinner fee not disclosed during booking. No free water refills. We stayed at Triton Prestige(the other 4 star hotel on Maafushi) for 3 nights before our stay at Kaani Palm and they have glass bottles in each room that they refills whenever you request them. At Kaani Palm, they provide just 1L per room, rest is chargeable. From a 4 star property it's expected that the hotel staff walks us to our room. Here we had to haul our own luggage to and from the lobby during check-in and check-out. There's general hostility and rudeness from the staff. The lights in the corridors switch off every 15 sec. So please keep your room key handly, or else you have to wave hands to switch the lights back on. Found that slightly annoying. The breakfast was bad. Not a lot of veg options, my wife eats only veg. Cappuccino are chargeable.(They were not at Triton) Unfortunately, our 3N stay at Triton Prestige set the bar too high for Kaani. Triton are definitely a better hotel, especially in terms of politeness of staff, general hospitality, quality of rooms, quality of hotel amenities, excursion rates ane overall enjoyment of stay. 3/10. Unless you are getting an exceptional deal, avoid staying here.

A very comfortable stay. Would definitely recommend!

Cleanliness, efficient staff and location. The infinity pool is beautiful! Enjoyed snorkelling package. *would have prepared room on a higher floor though.

Breakfast was alright but more different variety daily would have been nice.

Great property and location. We loved our stay.

Great property in Maafushi. Staff were extremely cooperative. Property is right in front of the beach, so great views and very convenient. We also took water excursions from them which was really well planned.

I booked three rooms and they allocated the rooms on separate floors. It should be quite evident that if one person has booked multiple rooms they would want it to be together.

Less veg options . No Indian breakfast option lik paratha , poha , idly . Only 1 cut fruit . If u eat egg and sausages then ok . For vegetarians limited breakfast

I love the full surroundings and amenities of this hotel. My only request is to have a tissue box inside the room as everything is hard to buy in Maldives . Overall , excellent for staying. I love your staffs esp the Filipino and Bangladeshis who always smile and greet us so we can feel at home.

My stay was fantastic and i enjoyed my holiday break in the Maldives overally

Location, nice design, clean, accesible, well maontained, amazing infinity pool, great food, efficient wifi, good electricity and water supply. Room maintenance efficient, helpful reception with transportation and activities as well...

The rooma with no ocean views had no windows at all so felt locked in, but since i didnt spend much time in the room except for bathing and sleeping it was manageable

There are loads of water sports one can choose from> Shakti , Sanaa and all the staff were awesome making our trip most memorable.

The breakfast was just standard, not much fruits and options for Vegetarians. dinner is also almost the same every night and not much options for Vegetarians. Also, all coffee from the machine was chargeable.
