Beautiful homestay in the wilderness

First off, I have to say the family were absolutely lovely. They were so accommodating, and I loved spending time with their dogs and their little daughter. Overall, they were really very good. The house was spotless, the tea was delicious and the food was very good too. Facilities very basic, but as I said, clean.

However, I would not recommend this location to someone who has just arrived in DJ. If you have already spent a couple of days in DJ and would like to head out to the wilderness for a night or two, or you want to do a Chris McCandless and go off the grid, then this is a good option. But it is many hours of *very* difficult travel from the airport and not good if you've already come off a long journey. Be aware that the cockerel crows at the break of dawn as well, so no hope of a lie in. All that said, it is a stunning place to stay. The location is beautiful, mostly unspoiled by litter, very quiet and peaceful. Great place to hike.

Mr Saral and Mrs Rina are exceptionally hospitable hosts. They made us feel more comfortable than our own home. The river side is pristine and natural beauty is untouched. If you are like us who like no distractions, just want to be in nature and enjoy solitude, then it's perfect place.

The road to the homestay is difficult. We tried to reach on Scooty and fell down. So, this is a disclaimer, drive at your discretion.

Please do come here to breathe in nature.

I liked hospitality of Saral bhai and his wife most. The room was very clean. Saral bhai became my guide at the time of tracking to river Rangeet and the Bridge over there.Food was not spicy but very tasty. Wash Room was nice.The little girl Eviana is very cute and I am missing her very much.She is the only child of Saral Bhai.

I really liked the deal with the hosts, very friendly, simple and very attentive. Always willing to facilitate things and even change a bit the cooking mode since I can not eat spicy food. Very familiar my stay there, very comfortable

There is no communication with any commercial vehicle service in the route.. Reserve in advance if you want to go there... west bengal government is not working anything

No transportation facilitiy after 9 am to go to Darjeeling,one have to reserve a taxi which costs a lot.

It's a awesome place to stay..perfect Homestay in lap of Nature..the great friendly helpful Host Saral Bhaiya..his beautiful wife Reena ( even she cut my hair beautifully) and their Cutest Sweetest Child EVIANA .. even their lovely doggy..made our stay wonderful.. Hospitality is Excellent..Food is too good..very tasty n healthy.. Must visit place..if you want to stay few days away from crowd..you have to come here..if you love nature..it's a perfect place to spend time here.. Hills views..tea garden..Birds sound..peacock..river side..Peaceful atmosphere.. Miss you Eviana Homestay.. Note : Don't miss the Adventure to reach the place..
