Very good

Room was modern. Shower was very good. Bathroom spotless.

Bar area. Seats at dining tables in bar were heavy and cumbersome and not comfortable for eating dinner, or relaxing with a drink afterwards. Throw on bed was stained on arrival, which was off-putting.

Very good

The location is excellent with plenty of parking. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is really nice.

I thought the breakfast was a little over priced. The swimming pool is to cold especially for kids.

Comfortable bed, bathroom clean

The services are an absolute disgrace. This place cannot cope with people. We were a family of 12 adults and 10 children. We were told that for new Year's eve we had to be seated for food in what was like an annex off the ba by 5.30.. We did this. And ordered our food. At 6.45 I went into the restaurant part to enquire as to what was keeping the food .I told them I wasn't as concerned about the adults but for the kids food as they were all hungry. There was about 8 people seated at a table in the restaurant not many eating in the bar, so I didn't understand why they couldn't cope with the orders. Eventually by 7 out came the chicken coujiouns. I had also ordered a child's veg,mashed potatoes and chicken coujiouns and a gravy. The vegetables was rock hard couldn't be mashed. Good no mashed potatoes no gravy.. I had to take some from my sons plate in order to feed my granddaughter. Absolute rip off. The person who had taken the order tried to tell me in front of a number of people who heard me give the order that I didn't ask for mashed or coujiouns. My husband ordered curry and barley ate it as he said it was way too dry. My brother ordered fish which he was left looking for. Myself I ordered chicken stir fry which was a large bowl of noodles. I had to look for the chicken. Not worth the charge so I told her she can take it back as I wouldn't pay for it.. My sister in law asked for ice cream at 5.30 for her special needs boy. It came at 7oclock.. Take into consideration at that time the kitchen definitely couldn't cope with the orders. Absolute disgrace and a rip-off. Later we moved out to the reception part. Later as the night went on a group of people asked us if they could join our group as they were told that they had to move from the other side of the reception as it was booked. First time I ever heard of guests moving in reception. This hotel doesn't deserve a 4 stars.

Disappointing

Really disappointing

Food menu poor with a lot of items not available. No tables available in bar even tho we had prebooked. Certain beers and Guinness not available at times

The bathrooms had not been cleaned in over 24 hours no staff available when mentioned to reception staff,food portions very small .we had rung and asked on many occasions about the bar with children for new years eve not once was it said to us to prebook the bar ,when asked at reception when we checked in we where told no need to book. Hotel could not accommodate its guests we ended up disrupting other guests on new years eve by joing there table by asking staff for chairs as no where else was available. Fire exit doors leaking on the floor beside us while having dinner and locked with cable ties.No lifeguard on the pool when my son had a nose bleed I had to clean the floor with just tissue no disinfectant supplied to me as staff just looked on .

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. All the facilities that may be needed were provided.

We were a bit put off when we were asked if we were having dinner, after we explained before going into bar/restaurant that we just wanted a drink, but we were asked again if we would be having dinner later. We said we'd already eaten in the restaurant. We understood that it was a busy time of year, but found the questioning a bit aggressive. We had an issue getting into our room. The night porter said he fixed the key cards after we handed them over & had reported the issue. Tried again & door would not open. I went back to find the porter. This time he escorted me back to the room. It felt like he didn't believe us that it was happening but I was happy for him to see that it wasn't our fault. Again, issue with the door. He left us to call the manager. After waiting, his solution was to give us another room. Luckily, after he tried key again, the door opened. We were glad it did so as all our belongings were in the room. We didn't complain, but upon check-out it would've been nice if the issue was flagged so that the receptionist could have mentioned it, & maybe apologised on hotel's behalf.
