A great property and a great location, BUT the human touch could be greatly improved.

The beach was a 2 min walk away and Appi (the shack owner) made us very Happy! Her Goan sausage is highly recommended with the fresh Pau(bread roll);

The Inn is a delight, but the 'welcome' could be a lot warmer. For instance, after arriving from Dabolim, we were shut out from the reception, whilst our docs were processed. This was not a great welcome - also, a drink of lime juice would have been very welcome...unless such gestures eat too much into the margins! My son noticed that the towel and bedsheets and the mattress were not pristine (as with 99.999%) of other properties. When he raised this issue he was told (by the lady of the house) not to be 'too fussy' as the specks were simply Rust! As i said, the property is Great, but the human touch could be improved. A dirty mattress is not an ideal way to furnish a room. That said, our room was perfect.

Sourranded by garden, close to the beach, nice for short stay

Great location in a quiet part of Candolim, around 100m to the beach. Garden around the property. Kind staff. Comfortable bed.

Very small room, not very functional for longer stay - no place to put the staff, closet was smelly and not clean so we did not use it.

Super hosts, great experience again

This was my second time staying here. The hosts are super gracious and go out of their way to accommodate requests from guests. It's close proximity to the beach and all the nice places in candolim makes it an absolute delight.

Fantastic location just a couple of mins walk from a quiet part of Candolim Beach and 5 mins walk to the main strip with bars, restaurants, supermarkets etc

It was relaxing, peaceful, and comfortable.

The location really can't be beat. Minutes from the beach, and the privacy is also excellent. While the units are relatively close together we did not run into any issues with other guests being noisy. Staff was extremally helpful and attentive to the needs of the guests.

We had some ants coming out of one of the plug sockets and a cockroach that found it's way into our room, but my understanding is this is par for the course in this area.

The location is fantastic just 100 meters and youre on the beach. Its away from the noisy main road. The family that run Shanus are so friendly and helpful.

The only thing we found annoying was the 6.45am sweeping of the pathway every morning which woke us up.

Weve stayed here before which is why we came back. An absolute gem.

Lovely people, always friendly and helpful. Big room and balcony with excellent shade. Peaceful location adjacent to a quiet stretch of beach with an excellent beach shack. The hustle and bustle of Candolim is 10 minutes walk away if you want it.

Unfortunately Shanu are not operating their own beach shack this year so no breakfast onsite. However, great alternatives are available a short walk away. Kettle and fridge available for DIY.

Michelle and Luis were wonderful hosts and we felt so comfortable here. The place was spotless and everything worked well. Great beds, large room, very efficient air con, good WiFi. Really we needed nothing more.
