Exceptional

The manager of the hotel is really helpful. Due to the Chinese president stay in Vietnam, we got stuck in the traffic and nearly missed our flight. We came back to the hotel and the manager took the 2 of us on his motorbike and we were able to reach the airport in 10 minutes and catch our flight. I totally recommend this hotel !

Superb

Really nice hostel, super friendly staff, gave us a taxi into the city and matched our discounted Grab taxi's price, also provided us with a nice simcard which saves us the hassle of finding one in the city on overpaying at the airport. Also the best shower I've had in Asia in two months!

Super close to the airport and 24hr reception, so its super convenient if you have an early flight. Good breakfast and clean rooms. Sahara at reception was an absolute gem! She totally made this hotel worth it.

My worst place in Vietnam

Location close to the airport and clean room and bathroom - and that's all.

I came to the hostel in the evening. The receptionist didn't speak English, he even didn't know what type of reservation I had. We had to talk using a mobile translator. I asked what time is the breakfast, as I was planning to leave the hostel around 10-11 am and wanted to have breakfast later. The receptionist told me it was 7.30 am. I asked - why breakfast was so early and if it was possible to eat between 9-10 am. He said that breakfast is available ONLY at 7.30 am. In the dormitory room, there were no curtains in the bed and no little lamp and electrical point directly near the bed like in the other hostels. The worst thing was the noise - in my room, there was only one girl traveling across the country and no other guests. But from the staircase, we could hear any screams, or arguments - like between the hostel staff. Somebody was still walking around the floors. The first time I didn't feel safe in the hostel. Around midnight one guy came to the room and went to sleep. His phone started calling so loud, he was talking on the phone and we could not sleep. I talked to him, and he said sorry but the situation repeated early in the morning - around 5-6 am. The guy started calling somebody and talking directly from his bed and I woke up. He left the room and when I went downstairs - I realized the noisy guy was the receptionist from the morning shift! They don't respect even their guests! He was able to speak English so I told him about his terrible behavior, and also the game with breakfast started again - this guy told me that breakfast was between 6.30 and 9.30. So I could eat later and I didn't have to wake up early (anyway, sleeping longer was not possible due to the noises caused by the receptionist in the room). I really don't recommend this place to stay. Very rude and unprofessional staff and you can find plenty of better places in Hanoi for the same price.
