Would return - a good alternative to staying in Manhattan

The staff were very friendly and helpful when I needed to store my bags for the day before I headed to the airport. The hotel was nicely decorated for Christmas, and I found the room clean and comfortable. There was ample snacks and drinks for sale in the lobby as well if needed. Liked that the room had a mini fridge. Lots of good places to eat within the 13-15 walk and fairly close to the Subway to get back into Manhattan or out to the airport.

Minimal places to store my belongings in the room, a chest of drawers would be nice, there was only a few hangers. The location is interesting...the 10 minute walk in the dark from the subway was a bit sketchy but during the daylight was fine. Not located near much, restaurants about a 13 min walk away,

Nice breakfast, subway not too far away. Good mattress.

Blanket was thin, but got an extra from the lobby. A bit pricey, must be the season.

The Feather Factory Hotel suited my purposes for being in New York City area.

Free tea and coffee available in the lobby at all times. Not too far to the nearest Metro station.

The so-called taxis that the reception booked for us, saying they would be cheaper than LYFT or a real taxi did not know New York City and got stuck in traffic and didn't drop me off at the correct part of Penn Station, so I had to drag my luggage two blocks in the rain to get to the correct part of Penn - which I had recognized earlier but the driver did not believe me. These so-called taxis were friends of the hotel staff earning some extra money. But they were not properly trained in the routes and places in New York City.

Very quiet area, staff are friendly, and overall good hotel.

I liked the location, very quiet and had a nice city view at night. The hotel and the room I stayed was pleasant, it had all the necessities I was looking for: shower/bathroom, bed, tv, and air conditioner.
