Pleasant

We were checked into room 1505, but the bathroom was dirty and there was garbage in the trash can. We asked to be moved to another room, 1403. It turned out to be cleaner, but it was blowing very strongly from the windows, the thermal effect system did not work at all, we were very cold.

Clean and presentable among entry and air quality was nice. Of course the staff cant control it but the air quality in the parking garage was a strong stinch of urine and it was choking level along with that parking garage being small expensive and complicated to navigate for no reason with the poor directions.

The rooms smell better than the galleria location but was far more expensive and smaller. The restrooms were extremely compact and looked half way renovated when looking at ventilation and the roof in general. Very underwhelming appearance for such a price. And the airflow in the room was terrible. It was cooler if I sat next to the window and horrible even when adjusting the vents at night with the air on high. Very much unlikely to stay again. But it achieved the basic outcome required for my stay. Until those things are improved visually I likely will never return or recommend anyone.

Bad

It is over a month since I stayed and the hold of USD 702 on my Forex card is still not released. It is a company card and I now have to return the card and pay for the hold. I had requested to release the hold from the forex card and shift it to my credit card, which was refused by the staff of the hotel. I have been charged USD 1257 instead of USD 555 which I booked for.

All the Amenities. Food mart, Starbucks, room service, restaurant in the hotel, outdoor seating area, shuttle service. Staff was great.

Lesson learned

The staff (under-staffed) front desk people were professional, respectful, and just plain good. I think thats worth saying because they are overwhelmed.

Grubby. No clear signs for an elevator to and from the self-parking. Valet people were useless. The room was clean but not really, and not for the cost. Thin walls.
