I'd come again for sure

Let's start with the good. The rooms are a great size for European standards. Very clean and properly maintained. The location is also very good especially if it's your first time to London. In general London is easy to get around with the underground but the hotel location helps further as it's almost in the middle of the city.

Before I say what the issue I faced is, I want to be clear that the staff were all very friendly and polite throughout the whole stay. Now, for what I didn't like. During check-in,I was told that an amount had to be blocked over the rate for an extras. 50 a night. I said no need and even asked them to empty the minibar but they insisted stating it's the hotel policy. My friend checking in at the same time was blocked 100 per night. No consistency in the policy. Then at check out, I found an extra 17 per night extra as a service charge. Which was a surprise to me since when I booked the rate said includes taxes and fees. Again the staff were very professional and polite. It would have been better if I was told at check in that there is an extra service fee and clearer in why a block is required.
