A wonderful hotel that would be much improved if the staff could speak some English.

Beautiful peaceful location, very well maintained garden. Lovely swimming pool, warm indoor jacuzzi and good sauna. Lovely rooms and comfortable beds. Nicely decorated for Christmas.

The service in the restaurant was very poor but the food was good. There were four in our party and we rarely ate together as our food came at different times. Not much choice for breakfast. The staff cant speak English and even though we could speak Vietnamese there were still problems.

Great getaway from Hanoi

The breakfast was good. The food was definitely Vietnamese. A more western offering of tea and coffee would improve breakfast. Fantastic facilities, very peaceful. Had an amazing massage too!

Food was ok but for the price could have been better. Had to book the massage a long time in advance.

Building and grounds are amazing, go if you dont mind a slight Fawlty Towers vibe

The hotel and grounds are amazing. Stunning architecture and tiered pools set in lush planting that evolved nicely from day to night when the tree frogs started croaking. We had a lovely start to the evening on the terrace with drinks and appetisers overlooking the pool but the dinner itself was only ok. They gave us breakfast early as we had an early flight which was nice of them.

There was something odd about the place. We paid for a twin room for our 2 adult sons and when presented with a double, their excuse was that the only twin room hadnt been cleaned and the house keeper wasnt due until the next day. No sorry, no doing it themselves, no alternative offer, just a shrug and suggestion that they put a second bed into the double room (which was already quite small and dark). There was only one other room occupied so they could have done something. The evening food was ok, again a bit odd and expensive but the breakfast was really strange - it was a weird combination of English fryup with chips and fruit. No menu, just came like that. Pool was a bit murky but that might be natural cleaning method

we didnt have hot water. but luckily didnt need it.

Not bad, with the potential to be a great stay with some small changes

The interior design is beautiful, well thought out facilities like the spa, not crowded, not loud. The food was good too.

The staff could use training in western guest services and communication. We had some plumbing problems and the mattress is the worst - hard as a plank.

Relaxing

The peace and tranquility of the place. The general vibe and atmosphere of the lodge. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The chef cooked for me a Vietnamese dish that wasn't on the menu, thank you for making my stay the most comfortable possible.

The shower was not functionning the best and it would have been nice to have more choices for the breakfast (such as a buffet)

Heaven is a place on earth!

By far the dreamiest place we've stayed, we loved every minute of it! We were there for two days, to get away from the noise and pollution of the city and to be near the airport primarily as we had a late night flight. From their very polite staff, to their manicured garden, lounging and swimming at the pool, we enjoyed the breakfast thoroughly particularly their fresh fruits and yoghurt, everything was to our liking! Waking up to the chirping of the birds, watching the sunset while sipping a cup of tea from the terrace...peaceful moments like these that will stay vivid in our imagination, thank you Amaya for pampering us and for taking care of every request we've had, not to forget the taxi bookings. Thank you for your hospitality Mr. Long and the whole lot of your staff, we'll definitely recommend your place to our family and friends who'll be travelling to Hanoi in the future, more power to you!
