What is the best time to visit Laos?
The best time to visit Laos is between November and February. The weather during this time is pleasant, cool and driest along with some of the most colourful festivals to cherish in the country. However, for some reason tourism is at its peak during the month of August.

November Ð April (Dry Season)
The month between November to April are marked as the dry season, when the temperature is at its most comfortable figure but the mountainous regions experiences an extreme dip in temperature to around 5 deg C. Daytime heat is recorded around 35 deg C.
May Ð October (Monson)
As rain starts to fall during the month of May, temperature start to rise and weather get sticky, muddy and uncomfortable. From June to October, there are fair chances of flood in Mekong River area. This area is also warmest in the country with temperature varying between 15 deg C and in 30s deg C. The areas at higher altitude including capital city Vientiane witnesses more rainfall than the lowlands.
