Total rip off!!!

1 /5

(Written on 30 Mar, 2024)

Total rip off!!! This is what we were promised: A 4-hour desert safari with quarts, camel ride and desert sunset for 3 people (2 adults + 1 child). What did we get: The journey from the hotel t (Read More)o the Quart station took 45 minutes. The quart trip only lasted 20 minutes, after complaining we were given an additional 10 minutes, but this was ended after 5 minutes. So a 25 minute drive in a fenced off area with a maximum speed limit of 20km/h. So no driving through the desert! The camel ride took 15 minutes in circles around the parking lot (right next to the highway, not through the desert). The drive to the photo point was OK, thanks to Salman (the driver). Only 20 minutes were allowed at the photo point (desert dune). We saw the sunset on the way back in the car on the highway. The 4 hour safari only lasted 3.5 hours, that half hour would have been enough to see the promised sunset and 1.5 hours of that was just round trip. While complaining, travel guide Shijith Jose of travelsaga.com said: "...it would have been a misunderstanding..." If the travel guide Shijith Jose had informed us about the entire travel plan BEFORE, we would NOT have booked, especially not for 500 euros. But he probably knew that and deliberately didn't inform us. We can also refute the statement that it took 45 minutes at the photo point (which was actually only 20 minutes) based on the photos (date and time). Again: Our driver Salman made the best of the situation and we recognize that too. Conclusion: 25min quarter drive 15 min camel ride 20min photo point about 10min safari The remaining time travel there and back and lots of discussions for 500 euros!!! Way too much!!! It's better to book with another provider! Clarify your travel plan beforehand.
