Disaster experience with this tourism company. We had a tour plan for North Sikkim with Holiday Guides. The hotel they provided was very much cheap quality. They didn't follow their tour plan what was (Read More) shared with us and didn't visit lots of places. When we complained about it, one of their member started Ranajoy Mondal misbehaved with us and disconnected my phone call in between. My suggestion will be never book your tour with them.

We six senior citizens from Mumbai planned well in advance 15th August for above trip with holiday guide during 6th Nov to 11th Nov 2023.We were extremely disappointed with the hotel suggested by them (Read More) both at Gangtok and Darjeeling inspite of repeated request to upgrade the hotels they alloted.Even after meeting them personally in Kolkata, they did not care for our request having paid full money in advance.God helped us in getting a decent accomodation at both the places.However the transportation by Mr Alok was extremely helpful in making our transfer and local sightseeing somewhat memorable. We do not recommend holiday guide for our bad experiences.

Nort Sikkim tour covering Gangtok, Lachen, Lachung from 3rd June'23 to 8th June' 23

They promissed 3 star hotels for our stay at Gangtok, Lachen & Lachung, but hotels were not at all 3 star standard. We were disappointed with the standard of hotels.Regarding rest of the tour, it was (Read More)some how managed though, as read out some one slse's review, the car details for succussive tours was conveyed very late hours cousing discomfort for us with uncertainty in our minds at some times.Any way, the tour was managed some how leaving some doubts about the ability of Holiday Guide on control over its tour plan that seemed dependent on local operators ability.

Transport mismanagement

We are a group of three couples in our late seventies. Travel, in and outside the country, has always been our passion. We have, between 3rd and 8th May 2022, travelled in Sikkim, where all the hotel (Read More)s and transport for all pickups, drops, hotel transfers, and sightseeing were arranged by ‘Holiday Guide’. Even as we wanted to have one car to be with us for the whole tour, Holiday Guide told us that in Sikkim, the same car cannot stay with the visitors throughout the trip and as such different cars will be allotted for each journey. We were told that, day before each of the journeys, we will be informed of the name of the driver, his phone no and car registration no. The following depicts our ordeal: • To start with, we enquired several times, within 24 hours prior to our flight time, about details of the car which would pick us up from Bagdogra fortaking us to Pelling. We were kept in suspense until we got the details only a few minutes before we were boarding the aircraft at Dum Dum. We didn’t mind. • The car, which picked us up from Bagdogra, had WB registration and was stopped by Police at Mellie, a check post at the WB/Sikkim border. Since the driver did not have a printed copy of permit with him we were detained, sitting in the car under hot sun, for one and a half hour. • Next day, we came to know about the car, for our sightseeing in Pelling, only at around 10 am. • Following day, we were informed just before we had to leave for Ravangla that no Innova or XYLO (which they committed) could be arranged. Two small local taxis were arranged, instead. Once we set off in those cars, we were told by the driver of one taxi that he had no petrol and nor had the money to buy the fuel. The taxis kept us waiting for one hour at a market place until a bloke appeared and paid money to buy petrol. As if we deserved more, one of the two cars declared that the car had problem with its brake and cannot keep up with the speed of the other one. What comforting news in the downhill winding roads! • Next day when we were to leave Ravangla for Rinchenpong, we received info about the car again only late in the morning of departure, that too after lot of requests from our side to different people in the chain. • On the last day we had to leave Rinchengpong early to catch our flight back to Kolkata. Considering the uncertainties on the way and the risk of missing the flight, we requested for information by 7 Pm of the previous evening. They very kindly appreciated and agreed; that too in writing. No information, whatsoever was received till 8 o’ clock in the morning of departure. We decided not to remain on tender hooks and hired a car ourselves and set off at around 9 AM, at our own cost! We thanked ourselves for the right decision as we just about reached in time for reporting at the airport. Meanwhile, a driver of a car, supposedly arranged by Holiday Travel, did ring us up when we were already way out of Rinchengpong and driving towards Bagdogra. [-The chain of middle men, involved in the arrangement of cars at different places, is a horrific maze. Holiday Travel seemed to have very little control. -We came to know, while in Sikkim, that Travel Guide’s guidance, in the first place, was not correct. If you engage a car from Bagdogra/NJP with WB registration, it can only drop you at Sikkim destination. From there on if you engage a car with Sikkim registration it can stay with you throughout up to Bagdogra/NJP. Alternatively if you engage a car with Sikkim registration from Bagdogra/NJP it can stay with you throughout and drop you back to Bagdogra/NJP.] • In right criticism, we found the hotels, arranged by Holiday Travel, were all value for money.

It was a fantastic trip of Andaman n Nicobar island for 5N/6days meticulously planned by Holiday Guide. Resorts booked were fantastic namely Havlock Island beach resort at havelock and Tango beach res (Read More)ort at Neil . One suggestion I would like to give to representatives of Holiday guide at Andaman to be present at receiving point with some specific identity/symbol/dress /banner/pimples so that people can identify them without calling to tourist guide. I would recommend people to visit gr8 Andaman . It’s a lovely place .

We planned Gangtok and darjiling trip through trivale tringle. Trivale tringle redirected us to holiday guide. Service received from holiday guide is worst and unprofessional. There are many is (Read More)sues in entire trip planned by Holiday guide, Kolkata I am not writing all of them but listing down few of them which are really basic :- 1. Drivers are unprofessional. - Gangtok and darjiling are hilly regions hence you need good drivers. But Drivers provided by Holiday guide were more keen to get return fare through other passengers though you are already paying them return fare.Till he gets return passenger He is continuously busy on mobile throughout journey. - Drivers never come on time. You get ready and wait for drivers is normal scenario. Drivers looks to complete your sightseeing early as he wants to take few local trips. They will ask you to complete sightseeing early and they will lie you saying " ye point kuch khas nahi hai if you permit we can skip it or abhi late hua ye point band hua hoga." - Driver took his friend in private vehicle and he didn't bother to ask once. If anyone can come and sit in vehicle then what about security of tourists and what is point taking a private vehicle. - Drivers eat gutkha, pan masala and you are leave to take dirty smell of it. - After facing all of these when you call Holiday guide, kolkata they will not take any action against it. As if they don't care. Above all scenario remains same throughout trip. 2. No co-ordination in entire trip - Holiday guide has absolutely no coordination. They will ask you to coordinate with their drivers and local person in gangtok or darjiling who is managing your trip. Sometimes these people don't pick up your call, Drivers doesn't know hotel location.My simple question is if I have to coordinate then what is a need of any trivale agent. -Vehicle quality is worst for example vehicle given in Darjiling has nylon lace tighten to seat. -To visit nathula border we have provided all documents 2 days prior. Still we were unable to get permit for Nathula. Holiday guide travel agent joy didn't have any idea about our permit status. We informed him about permit. - Hotel quality provided is also average against money charged for. *Overall worst experience from Holiday guide , Kolkata. If you want to make it memorable don't choose Holiday guide*

We had planned a customized family trip of 8nights and 9days and we had covered all the places that we wanted to, including diglipur and jolly buoy. Both Mr. Roni and Mr.Binay were very cooperative an (Read More)d never did we face the problem of them not picking up their phone. We told them to include Jolly buoy in our itinerary in the eleventh hour and they made it possible too. All cruise tickets,ferry tickets were taken care of and we didn't face any harassment. The drivers were very punctual and well behaved.The hotels they provided were great including beach resort in diglipur and Havelock.The reason we liked them all the more was because they had managed the entire thing in a very little time, as we ourselves planned the trip 15days before going.Overall, it was a very nice and pleasant trip. Highly recommended.

We have been provided with all that was promised. We wanted a private tour and we got it. The drivers were accommodative all the time. Tickets for the cruise sheep's were booked with care and the resu (Read More)lt was window seats every time. I did not have to call the co-ordinator (Mr. Binoy) even once for cars. Every time we moved from one island to another, there were cars waiting for us without fail. Although, I believe that Mr. Binoy is overburdened with tours in the peak season. We could sense that. Nevertheless, Holiday Guide on their part did a great job according to me. Always attending phone calls, always trying to find resolution to even the slightest of problems, advising us on what's required and what's unnecessary luxury- to say the least about Mr. Rony Chakraborty of Holiday Guide. My wife and I had a great time at the Andaman, thanks to you. Keep it up guys!

The overall management was good. Except hotel accommodation at Port Blair. A general strike at Havelock has disrupted our tour for one day, but they have compensated the vehicle facility at Port Blair (Read More) while in the second phase of journey. I suggest proper attention at Port Blair.

DON'T SUGGEST HOLIDAY GUIDE FOR ANDAMAN TRIP. IT IS USELESS. THEIR SERVICES IS NOT SATISFACTORY AT ALL. AS THEY HAVE PROMISED TO PROVIDE STAR CATEGORY HOTEL (2 STAR AND ABOVE) TO US BUT THEIR HOTE (Read More)L CATEGORY IS NOT UP TO THE MARK. THEIR CO-ORDINATOR AT ANDAMAN (BINOY) WAS NOT CO-ORDINATED WITH US OVER PHONE OR PERSONALLY. WE COULD NOT SEEN MANY PLACES DUE TO THEIR MIS-MANAGEMENT. SO, OUR HUMBLE REQUEST PLS. Mam thanks for your reply. But I would like to remind you that the Hotels (Airport & Haywizz, PortBlair, -- Holiday Inn Havelock -- & Tango in Neil Island) all has been booked after getting written co (Read More)nfirmation from your side. Above that you can check it online that all the aforesaid hotels are 3* category.At the time of residing on these hotels you didn't faced & also didn't utter any problems.
At the time time of booking we have suggested you 4* category hotels but it was not coming within your budget.
As per as the co ordination is concerned you were making unnecessary calls to us daily without any reason. We are having ample no of tours going on. No body is facing any problems. Each & every tour has been done as per your itinerary. Only Ross Island tour has not been done due to unavailability of Speed Boat on those dates. But amount for Ross Island has been refunded to you during tour.
