We just completed our Spiti Valley circuit tour, booked through Grand Himalaya Tours.
Our journey started from Chandigarh and covered Manali – Sisu – Chandratal – Kaza – Kalpa – Tabo – Sangla – Nako, (Read More) and back to Chandigarh. The tour was thrilling and exciting—my kids enjoyed it a lot!
We had booked premium hotels. While most accommodations were good, Sisu hotel did not meet our expectations—the rooms were not cleaned properly.
The journey to Chandratal was especially thrilling. If you love adventure and enjoy thrilling experiences, a visit to Chandratal is a must! Otherwise, you can choose to skip it.
On the way to Kaza, we visited the Chicham Bridge, which is one of the highest bridges in the world. The road trip from Chandratal to Kaza was also incredibly exciting and adventurous.
We visited the highest post office in the world and the last village of Himachal—both were very beautiful. Along the way, we explored many monasteries, with Tabo Monastery being the highlight.
The Kinnaur region offered another thrilling drive. On the way to Kalpa, we saw beautiful apple orchards, and towards Nako, we enjoyed the lush greenery and more apple plantations.
Among the hotels, we especially liked Satv Pine in Sangla—the rooms were very clean, the food was excellent and tasty, and the location near the river added to the charm.
The other hotels were okay.
We want to appreciate Mr. Rajesh, who was very helpful. This was our second time booking a tour with Grand Himalaya Tours, and once again, we are satisfied.
The drivers were well-trained and professional.
Our suggestion: Since we spent a lot of time in the car, it would have been nice if the guide or driver shared more information about the places during the journey.
Thank you, Mr. Rajesh, for making our Spiti tour so memorable!
