Extremely worst experience with Country Travel Point and Ms. Reeta Verma and Pradeep Sharma
Ye travel agency sirf naam ki hai, ground reality bilkul opposite hai. Drivers tourists ko mentally harass karte hain, gaali dete hain, aur extra paise nikalwane ke liye jaan-bujhkar situation create karte hain.
Koi professionalism nahi, koi training nahi, koi customer support nahi. Ms. Reeta Verma ko (Read More)complaints batane ke baad bhi na koi response milta hai aur na hi koi action liya jata hai.
Pure trip ke dauraan unsafe feel hua.
Paise lootne wali agency hai.
Main strongly suggest karta hoon ki Country Travel Point se kabhi bhi booking na karein. Aapka time, money aur mental peace sab barbaad ho jayega.
Worst Driver. Be aware!!!
This is a sincere request to everyone planning a Shimla–Manali trip: never ever book your tour with Country Travel Point, Shimla.
I’m sharing my experience below so others don’t make the same mistake we did.
Booked a Shimla and Manali tour package with Country Travel Point. Paid ₹8–10k EXTRA only for one reason: snow.
I had cheaper options, but this agency clearly said:
“We charge extra, b (Read More)ut we guarantee snow point which other agencies won’t provide.”
That promise is why we booked.
Trip plan was Delhi → Shimla → Manali → Kasol.
Pickup was from Delhi in a Dzire, which was fine. But suddenly at Kurukshetra, the driver says:
“Get down. Another car will take you from here.”
No prior info. No warning.
Then the new driver asks for ₹2,000 EXTRA. Again, never told by the travel agency. After arguing and being stuck on the road, we paid because we had no option.
The new car was HORRIBLE. Bad smell, poor condition. The driver said this same car would be used for the full trip.
We complained about the smell. No response. Ended up buying air freshener with our own money just to survive the journey.
In Shimla, we were told the driver would help cover all itinerary points.
Next day at Kufri, suddenly:
“You need a 4×4 vehicle. Pay extra.”
This was NEVER mentioned earlier by the tour company. We were forced to pay ₹8,000.
Honestly, we were okay with this because at many places normal vehicles don’t go. But the travel agency should have informed us earlier. This was not the main issue.
Now the MAIN ISSUE — SNOW.
The snow point promised was Gramphu (Manali side). Locals and friends clearly told us there is NO snow there. We informed the tour company in advance.
Spoke to Vaishali from Country Travel Point and told her clearly:
“There is no snow in Gramphu. Please give an alternative.”
She said, “Give me one day, I’ll do something.”
That day we did local sightseeing. The next day she told us:
“Go to the same place, there is snow.”
We trusted her and went to the same place.
There was NOTHING.
No snow.
Just dirty icy patches.
That was the ONLY reason we paid extra money.
Standing in Gramphu, we asked for alternatives like Rohtang Pass or Shinkula Pass.
When we told them we will NOT pay snow charges since they FAILED to show snow, they started arguing and blaming us instead of accepting their mistake.
On top of that, they said:
“You can book your own vehicle and do sightseeing.”
Seriously? We booked a TOUR AGENCY so we don’t have to arrange vehicles and planning ourselves. If we have to do everything on our own, then why would anyone book a trip through a travel agency?
Basically everyone except themselves.
Overall, the money was wasted. The core promise of the trip was NOT delivered.
Posting this so others don’t fall into the same trap.
Learn from our mistake.

I recently booked a Manali holiday package through Meenakshi Ma’am, and overall, I’m quite happy with her arrangements and cooperation throughout the tour. She was very supportive and helpful during the entire trip. However, there are a few points I would like to mention as part of my personal review.
Hotel Experience:
The hotel provided was good, and the rooms were very spacious with an amazi (Read More)ng balcony view. However, the complimentary food options were limited, and the taste was not satisfactory. Also, the utensils used for serving looked unhygienic (Pic attached). The hotel was located quite far from the Mall Road, which was a bit inconvenient. It also seemed like the food was not prepared in the hotel itself but arranged from a nearby restaurant.
Cab and Driver Service:
The first driver (Anil) assigned to us was not very friendly. He only covered the points mentioned in the package and didn’t show any flexibility. For example, even though he knew Naggar Castle was closed, he still took us there. When we requested to visit nearby attractions like a monastery or museum (just 1–5 km away), he refused. He always seemed to be in a hurry to finish his duty, often calling repeatedly for us to return early. Because of this, our First and second day was not enjoyable.
After two days, our cab and driver were suddenly changed, and I believe Meenakshi Ma’am might not have been informed about this change. Thankfully, the second driver (Sunny) was extremely friendly and cooperative. He guided us about various places during travel, never rushed us, and didn’t bother us with constant calls. I would strongly suggest that Meenakshi Ma’am continue working with him, as he could make an excellent travel guide for future guests.
Volvo Bus Service:
The Delhi to Manali Volvo was comfortable and well-maintained. However, the return journey (Manali to Delhi) was disappointing — the bus was in very poor condition, almost like a “khatara.” It seemed that the booking agent arranged a cheaper ticket for us. This part of the journey was the worst experience, and I would recommend more attention to Volvo arrangements in the future.
Overall Experience:
Apart from the few issues mentioned above, the trip was well-planned, and Meenakshi Ma’am’s coordination was excellent. I truly appreciate her efforts and hope my feedback helps in improving future travel experiences for other guests.
