Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 NJP/ IXB/Siliguri to Gangtok

After being received at IXB/NJP/Siliguri, proceed to Gangtok (5,410 ft), which is 120 km away and takes approximately 4.5 hours. After reaching Gangtok, check in at the hotel. Overnight stay.

After an early breakfast (7:30 am), start a full-day excursion to Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft) and New Baba Mandir (13,200 ft). Please note that Nathula Pass (Indo-Chinese border), situated at 14,500 ft, is an optional sightseeing point for Indian nationals only, which is not included in this package. A special permit is required for Nathula, available at an extra cost, and is entirely dependent on permit issuance by the Sikkim Tourism Department, which is issued only on the day of travel. Valid documents need to be provided seven days before the Nathula permit. Once issued, the permit amount is non-refundable. Nathula Pass is closed for visitors on Mondays and Tuesdays. Permits may be granted on a clubbing basis.

Note – Alternative sightseeing will be provided if the Tsomgo Lake permit is not issued due to natural calamities or political disturbances.
Go for Gangtok full-day sightseeing (8:30 am to 4:30 pm) covering Handicraft Center, Bakthang waterfalls, Tashi View Point, Gonjang Monastery, Nature Interpretation Center, Ganesh Tok, Flower Show, Tibet logy, Chorten Stupa, and Banjhakri Water Falls. Overnight stay at Gangtok

After breakfast (08:30 am), Proceed from Gangtok to Darjeeling ( 110kms/ 4hrs drive/ 6730 ft approx)—Check-in at the hotel. The evening is free to roam around Mall Road. Overnight stay.

Wake up early (3:30 am) to witness the sunrise from Tiger Hill (2,590 meters/13 KM/45 min). On the way back, visit the famous Ghoom Monastery and the Batasia Loop.  Proceed for a day city tour around Darjeeling (09:00 am to 3:30)covering The Japanese Temple and Peace Pagoda, P.N. Zoological Park (Thursday closed), Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Thursday closed), Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee self-help Centre (Sunday closed)and outer view of  Tea Garden (Chitrey). 

Proceed from Darjeeling to Bagdogra Airport (IXB)/NJP (Railway Station)/Siliguri (for onward journey (70 KM drive/3 Hours approx).

The people of the place were very good and friendly,it's a must visit place and (Read More)about the travel agency,despite the communication gap,everything was provided on time according the itinerary plan.
The hotel facility could have been better. Hotels were at the right location but (Read More) the service was not up to the mark. Basic maintenance was lacked, broken cupboards, small insects etc which can be improved with little care.
