Day Trip to Shodoshima, Takamatsu Overview
The largest island in this part of the Inland Sea, about an hour by ferry, and the one with enough on it to fill a whole day: the Kankakei gorge and its ropeway, Angel Road, a sandbar that surfaces twice a day and lets you walk to the next island, olive groves planted in 1908 and a soy sauce village still using wooden barrels. Rent a car or plan around the bus timetable.
