Taiping Lake Gardens, Taiping Overview

Taiping Lake Gardens is one of the most famous attractions in Taiping. The 64-hectare garden is created on the site of an abandoned tine mine. Home to 10 man-made lakes and ponds, it is visited for its aesthetics and extravagant beauty and is a sight to behold during sunrise and sunset. Taiping Lake Gardens is also home to the gigantic Rain Trees. Popular for picnics, the tree appears to be bending to drink water from the lake.

Taiping Lake Gardens is maintained graciously and offers a recreational vacation spot amongst nature. The place is lit with tall bamboo, pines and other trees like Angsena and Hujan that are scattered all over. The mountainous backdrop is striking and adds a peaceful hill station like feel to the place. A few landmarks to visit while you are here would be the lotus lake, bamboo point, duck island, seven sister’s point, a rock garden and a zigzag bridge.

How to Reach Taiping Lake Gardens

The Taiping lake gardens can be reached through the PLUS North-South Expressway by road. Buses directly connect Taiping to Singapore and Hat Yai. By rail, you can travel via the Ekspres Langkawi that links Taiping to Hat Yai (the north-south line that stops at Taiping Staton)
