Artist Village, Saputara Overview
Artist Village in Saputara, Gujarat, is a vibrant cultural hub showcasing the traditional arts and crafts of local tribes such as the Bhil, Gamit, Kunbi, and Warli. Located just 1 km from Saputara Bus Station and opposite Saputara Lake, the village offers visitors an opportunity to explore and purchase handcrafted items like bamboo crafts, Warli paintings, jewelry, and pottery . Run by artisans Surya Goswami and Chandrakant Parmar, the village also conducts workshops where tourists can learn about and participate in the creation of these traditional art forms .
The main tribals of the village Bhil, Kunbi and warli are well known for their benevolence. Apart from buying their beautiful art works, you can also get into workshops to create something different and get to know the artist in you and their culture even better.
