Located at the Golden Gate Park, the Conservatory of Flowers is a botanical garden and a greenhouse with remarkable Victorian-style architecture. It is the oldest conservatory in the country. It is made up of wood and glass, with an enormous collection that is divided into five distinct segments of tropical flowers and plants from all over the world. It is a well-designed place with embellishing flooring, ample pitcher plants and prominent fountain structures. The staff is knowledgeable and super friendly, always ready to guide and talk about the collection.
The abundance of orchids and lilies make this a pleasant spot to visit. They maintain misty weather in the tropical section for the exotic flowers and plants. The large outdoor dahlia garden is gorgeous especially when the flowers are blooming. It has special exhibits of a beautiful butterfly habitat where you can just sit and watch them flutter in their natural domain. The conservatory also has a stunning night bloom with the building and plants being well-lit and some sound effects making the entire experience worthwhile. You can also rent this beautiful area for corporate events or weddings.
