History

One of the legends says that the place was found by Vedic people in search of shelter and named it Rohitashgarh which eventually became Rohtak. Some sources also state that the name of the region may have been a result of the density of the tree Rohtaka in the area. Not only is the name of the city a fascination to historians, but the city itself also acts as a museum with various findings all around the place. Not a good, i visited today 3.7.22., its look like a village pound, Rs. of food, drinking items is very high from outside market, i. e.
