Wenceslas Square is a bustling and historic boulevard located in the New Town of Prague, Czech Republic. Named after the patron saint of Bohemia whose statue is installed in the area, the Wenceslas Square is actually a long boulevard. Established during the 14th century under the rule of Charles IV as a horse market, today the place carry the same popularity as home to the National Museum and plethora of the impressive architectures. Once served as the major hub for demonstrations that started the Velvet Revolution in 1989, even today, Wenceslas Square is a place for demonstrations and celebrations alike.
