Begu Hajjam Mosque is among the oldest mosques in Patna city. Originally dating back to the 16th century, the mosque is not named after its creator Muazzam Nazir Khan, but its renovator Begu Hajjam. The architecture reflects Gaur style, as it was built under the rule of Alauddin Shah, the ruler of Gaur. There is spirituality within the walls of the mosque and beautiful carvings on them.
