Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Patna

On Arrival in Patna, pick up from the airport/railway station and transfer to hotel.
Check-in to the hotel.
Later proceed for sightseeing.
Visit Patna Museum and Gurudwara Patna Sahib.
Evening free for leisure/shopping.
Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2 Patna Sightseeing

After breakfast, proceed for a trip to Bodh Gaya.
On arriving in Bodh Gaya, visit Mahabodhi Temple, Bodhi Tree, Great Buddha Statue, Chinese Temple, Barabar Caves, Ajapala Nigrodha Tree, and Royal Bhutan Monastery.
Return back to Patna in evening.
Overnight stay at a hotel in Patna.

Day 3 Patna to Nalanda to Rajgir

After breakfast, proceed to Rajgir via Nalanda.
Stop at Nalanda for a sightseeing tour.
Visit Nalanda University, Nalanda Archeological Museum, The Great Stupa and Hiuen Tsang Memorial Hall.
Proceed to Rajgir in the evening.
Overnight stay at Rajgir.

Day 4 Rajgir Sightseeing

After breakfast, proceed for sightseeing.
Visit Rajgir Hot springs, Japanese Shanti Stupa, Venuvana, Gridhakuta or Vulture's Peak.
Take a ride on Rajgir Ropeway.
REturn back to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 5 Departure

After breakfast, check-out of the hotel and proceed to the nearest railway station/ airport for your journey back home.

We had a great during the trip. Planning and itinerary was perfect. There were a few mishaps like a cancelled train trip which is out of the control of Indian (Read More) Travel Waves but Venay handled it very well and we were put on a flight very quickly that we did not miss a beat. On the whole it was a great trip. The two drivers that was provided for the trip were both excellent and went above and beyond what was expected. I would recommend Indian Travel Waves and especially Venay our travel agent to whoever is planning this kind of trip.
