Located right by the airport at Nice is the botanical garden/zoo emphasizing the stunning flora and fauna of the city. The park is separated into several zones, including a tropical area, a Mediterranean garden, and animal-only areas. Being one of the largest greenhouses in Europe, it has a surface area of 7000 meters. There is no parking facility but the bus stop is located just across the zoo.
The park was inaugurated in February 1990 and is situated along the Promenade des Anglais at the southwestern tip of Nice. The park primarily consists of a greenhouse and a sizable pool where pelicans, swans, ducks, and turtles are sure to enchant the little ones. Numerous plant species like palms, banana trees, ferns, and others are seen to grow here. Butterflies flutter through the air while exotic fish swim in the water. You'll even come across a hut where you can relax on a patio and enjoy the luxuries offered by nature. This attraction is a must-visit purely for its 5 hectares of lush greens.
