What's Not Good: The taxi driver cum owner had unnecessarily filled the boot of the taxi with large speakers, which were not even connected hence leaving no space for the passengers' luggage. Out of two suitcases we were carrying one was permanently occupying the front seat, this was not only damaging the suitcase but blocking the view throughout. And since the taxi was on diesel, the two suitcases should have been put in the trunk of the taxi.

About Nainital Tourism: Nainital is one of India's most popular hill stations and the judicial capital of Uttarakhand, situated on the foothills of the Kumaon ranges. Also called the "City of Lakes," its peaceful lakes, colonial architecture, pleasant weather, trekking trails, and vast green spaces attract people looking for a getaway from the everyday hustle. Holidify's numerous Nainital travel packages include exciting excursions and are ideal for all kinds of travellers.
One of the main attractions of this beautiful hill station is its cluster of seven lakes; Naini Lake is a natural fresh body lake located in the centre of Nainital and surrounded by seven peaks and coniferous trees. A beautiful and serene location that once appealed to the Britishers, it is excellent for boating, picnicking, walking and nature photography and is also the site of the Naini Devi Temple.
Though Nainital has pleasant weather, the months of May and June make for the peak season, free of heavy rains. With its location amidst the Himalayas, the town has several viewpoints like Snow View Point. You can catch glimpses of the snow-clad Himalayas and board the Nainital Ropeway and Cheena Peak, which offers views of the Nanda Devi Peak and Tibet border.
Nainital tour packages are a great way to experience the town's colonial past. They include visits to buildings like the Gothic-style Governor's House or Raj Bhawan, St. John Wilderness Church, the oldest in the city and Gurney House, the former home of Jim Corbett and now a museum. You can also pay your respects at temples like the Hanuman Garhi Temple and Neeb Karori Maharaj Temple.
Don't forget to visit nearby villages and towns like Pangot, Bhimtal, Sattal and Jeolikot, known for their calm waters, tiny hamlets and lush greenery. And of course, shop for some local handicrafts, woollens and accessories on Mall Road and the Tibetan Market. In addition, Nainital tour packages often combine nearby destinations like Jim Corbett, Ranikhet and Kausani for an incredible trip.
Jim Corbett is one of Uttarakhand's oldest national parks that you must visit to catch a glimpse of majestic Bengal tigers and diverse bird species! Of course, you can always opt for a guided safari to fully enjoy its natural bounty. On the other hand, Ranikhet is the headquarters for the Indian Army's Kumaon Regiment and is home to several temples, Chaubatia orchards, and expansive open spaces.
Located near Almora, Kausani is a paradise for nature lovers owing to its creeks, dense oak and deodar forests, marvellous views of the snow-covered Himalayas, snowfall and exciting treks like the Adi Kailash Trek and Base Kausani Trek. Holidify offers many fun Nainital travel packages that are budget-friendly and customisable, thus making them perfect for travelling with friends and family.
