Maculti Lighthouse, Mozambique Overview

Located at the far end of Macuti Beach in Beira, Mozambique, the Macuti Lighthouse and shipwreck is an impressive red and white striped building and remains of an old shipwreck. It dates back to 1904 and is about 28m tall, offering mesmerising views of the sea and city. A permit is required to enter the lighthouse and guided tours are also available.

This structure lies directly in front of an old shipwreck that dates back to 1985. It is a popular location for photography, watching the sunset or sunrise and walking along the shoreline.
