Nguom Ngao Cave, Mong Cai Overview
Ngoum Ngao cave system is one of Vietnam's most spectacular underground cave systems. It extends for several kilometers underground and was used to shelter villagers during the 1979 war with China. The cave system is thought to extend underground up to the Ban Gioc waterfall, located 4 kilometers away. Visitors are only allowed to access a part of the cave that is completely safe, well-lit, and has a concrete path.
