  • If you plan to rent a bike to reach Ban Aen, make sure you have sufficient fuel as there are no stations on the road once you go out of Luang Prabang town.
  • The road to the village is not in good condition. Hence it is advised to drive carefully.
  • There are some options for food and drinks in restaurants and cafes near the falls, but expensive. You can also carry your own food and picnic.
  • If you are opting to swim, wear modest swimsuits as the town is still conservative.

How To Reach Tad Sae Waterfall

You can get to the town by renting a motorbike which costs about 5 to 6 USD per day and park it off near the entry to boats. You can also reach Ban Aen by hiring a tuk-tuk from Luang Prabang, which costs about 150000 LAK per person for a return trip, which can be shared. The price also includes waiting charges. It takes about 30 to 40 minutes to arrive at the village.
