Layang-Layang Beach

Layang-Layangan Beach, Labuan Overview

Situated towards Labaun’s northeast, the soft, white sands of Layang-Layangan Beach face the South China Sea. Though the waters are calm, seaweeds on the seabed make it unsuitable for diving or swimming. Instead, you can sunbathe on the clean beach, take banana boat rides, buy satay from beachside vendors, and enjoy unobstructed views of sunsets on the sea. There also is a jogging track right next to the beach, a Peace Park and a Surrender Point built by the Japanese to honour their soldiers. The beach is a 20-minute taxi ride away from the town of Labuan.
