Altingsburg Lighthouse, Kuala Selangor Overview

Located in Kuala Selangor, the Altingsburg Lighthouse is a great place to enjoy sunsets. Although you are not allowed to enter the lighthouse, its surrounding area offers a panoramic view of the Straits of Malacca which is a true sight to behold. The lighthouse serves as a guide for vessels that are headed towards the Straits.

Nestled on the Melawati Hill, this lighthouse belongs to a Dutch origin. It was extensively used during the British colonial era. You can also visit nearby attractions like the Melawati Fort and the Kuala Selangor Historical Museum. The hill is also home to several silver leaf monkeys. While these monkeys are quite curious and playful, you must be careful while interacting with them.
