Maya Bay is an iconic location ever since it was shot to fame in the Movie The Beach' by Leonardo Di Caprio. Accessible only by boats and ferries, the crystal waters of the bay with cliffs make the view worthwhile. While until recently, the bay had been indefinitely shut off to visitors, tourists are now allowed to visit again in a controlled manner.
Swimming or engaging in any watersports is prohibited at Maya Bay since baby sharks are being preserved here. The beach is breathtakingly beautiful with stunning scenery. The entrance fee is 400 bahts for foreigners.
