Fiskardo, Kefalonia Overview

Fiskardo is a historic fishing village located on the northern coast of Kefalonia Island in Greece and a one-hour drive from Argostoli. The village has a beautiful harbour and marina and still retains elements of Venetian architecture. A 16th-century Venetian lighthouse and a 2nd-century roman cemetery are two of the most famous historical sites in the village. Ruins of old windmills and a Basilica devoted to Saint Kerekas are must-visits. Enjoy a walk along the scenic bay of Fiskardo, lined with several seaside cafes, restaurants, bars, and taverns.

Some of the most popular beaches in Greece, including Foki beach, Emblisi Beach, Dafnoudi beach, and more, can be found in Fiskardo. The world-renowned Myrtos beach is a few km from the village. Visitors can also enjoy watersports, boat tours, and cruises on these beaches with underground caves, coves, crystal clear turquoise waters, and rich marine life. Several hiking trails are also located in the village.
