Tagore Beach, Devbagh Overview

Shimmering golden sand and soothing coconut groves complimenting its glamour along with crystal clear water make the Tagore Beach an extremely popular spot. The annual Karavali Festival held at the beach around December and January is one of the biggest events to take place here. Note that the beach does not have any food shacks or shops nearby so it is recommended to bring your own food and water.

Popularly referred to as Karwar beach, it is located in the Karwar town at the confluence of the Arabian Sea and Kali River. Famous for its crescent shape, the beach attracts a large number of tourists offering a splendid view of sunrise and sunset.

The Karwar Coastline is formed by five beaches - Devbagh Beach, Binaga Beach, Karwar Beach, Majali Beach and the Tilmatti Beach. That makes Karwar a perfect beach destination. Out of these Devbagh Beach is the most popular one in Karwar as the Karwar beaches are also famous for its magnificent sunrises and sunsets and have a unique charm that most beach destinations don't.
