Jaigad Fort, Ganpatipule Overview
Jaigad Fort is nestled on a cliff that overlooks a bay which is formed when Shastri river enters the Arabian Sea.
This fort has a commanding view of the bay and the open sea. The Fort is 35 km from Ganapatipule, located at the tip of peninsula in Ratnagiri district. A jetty port and Jaigad lighthouse are located nearby. Although in ruins, most of the fort's exterior wall and bulwarks stand still.
